Shabbat Chol HaMoed Pesach with Rabbi Darby
Friday, April 26, 2024 at 7:30 pm
(Online and in-person)
The Shabbat that falls during the week of Passover is known as Shabbat Chol HaMoed Pesach. It is distinctive for certain liturgical changes, the Torah reading, and for the fact that we don’t get to eat challah! We do make motzi (the blessing over bread) this Shabbat over matzah instead—yes, more matzah! We will take advantage of our time to learn together some texts related to Passover and perhaps to think together, as a group, about what it means to be observing Passover this year with all of its painful and difficult complexities.
