Please join us for Choosing Life with Barak Morag. On October 7th, in Kibbutz Nir Oz, the life of Barak and his family changed in an instant. For long hours, they fought for their lives inside their safe room as terrorists tried to break in. When they failed, the terrorists set their home on fire. Barak and his family were forced to make life-or-death decisions at every moment, until their eventual rescue through the window, as their house turned to ashes.
In a powerful, personal, and candid encounter, Barak Morag will share a personal testimony of that day in his home, a story that serves as a painful window into the wider tragedy of the Nir Oz community, which lost more than a quarter of its members that morning.
But beyond the testimony, this is a story of a journey from that day to this very moment: about the choice to rebuild from the ruins, the power of human and community solidarity, and the goodness encountered along the way that became an engine for healing and growth. It is a tribute to the global support and the shared humanity that reminded them that they were not alone.
