Join us for a festive evening to celebrate Shabbat and Simchat Torah! At the end of our High Holidays ark comes this joyful holiday that culminates in celebrating our holy text.
We do this with song, dance, and learning!
This year we will be joined by Yiddish dance leader and singer-songwriter Adah Hetko, who will lead us in our hakafot dancing, along with our in-house Klezmer band. Come for dinner and stay to make a l’chaim and dance with the Torah! All ages are encouraged to join.
Adah is a Yiddish singer-songwriter, dance-leader, and educator based in Boston, MA. Adah has a decade of experience leading Yiddish dance at concerts, weddings, and other celebrations. She has taught Yiddish dance workshops for children, college students, adults, and intergenerational groups, and is a regular leader for the Electric Hora (a monthly Yiddish dance party at the Burren in Somerville, MA), and for RUACH Jewish Movement and Mediation. When not dancing, Adah can be found performing with her Yiddish song ensembles Levyosn and the Soloveychicks.
