Please join us this Friday night as we welcome Shabbat together with prayer, song, and community. This week’s Torah portion is, Parshat Ki Tisa and this Shabbat, also known as Shabbat Parah, is said to be part of our spiritual preparation for the Pesach season.
In Parashat Ki Tisa, we encounter both the fragility and resilience of the human spirit — the sin of the Golden Calf and Moses’ passionate plea for forgiveness and renewal. It is a portion that reminds us how quickly fear can lead to brokenness, and how urgently we need moral courage, accountability, and compassion.
As we gather together this Friday, we will also hold in our prayers the protection of innocent life in the Middle East, praying for safety, restraint, and a future shaped by dignity and peace for all who dwell there.
We are also honored to welcome visitors from the UU community in Carlisle and look forward to sharing a warm and meaningful evening together. We hope to see you there.
