This Friday night, we begin again. We have just completed the entire Torah—celebrated, danced, and rejoiced with it on Simchat Torah—and now we turn the scroll back to the very beginning: Beresheet, “In the Beginning.”
In Judaism, beginning again is never simply starting over. We return to words we have read before and discover new questions, new possibilities, and perhaps even new parts of ourselves within them.
Come join us this Friday evening as we gather for Shabbat, symbolically open the Torah to its first page, and explore what it means to begin again. Whether you’ve been with us every week or haven’t been to Kerem Shalom in a while, this is a wonderful night to come home, reconnect, and start a new year of the Torah cycle together.
We hope to have you with us.
