Rabbi Jamie Kotler is well known to Kerem Shalom, initially as a fellow Meah student, and later as a beloved teacher. Her unique perspectives on Israel come from her experiences living, studying and visiting Israel as well as her understanding of its ancient and contemporary history, her Rabbinical training, and her family’s journey from Europe after the Shoah. Jamie is in close contact with Israeli friends and relatives, and regularly follows Israeli Hebrew news channels to keep abreast of events.
After October 7th, Jamie participated in a volunteer 10-day mission to Israel, providing extra hands and support in the Gaza Envelope. She also recently participated in a nine-day Community Leadership Program at the Hartman Institute in Jerusalem.
