Kerem Shalom is pleased to honor the beginning of Jewish Disability Awareness and Inclusion Month at our Erev Shabbat Service. Our guest speakers are from our Concord neighbor, Minute Man Arc. We will warmly welcome Minute Man Arc of Concord’s Kimberly Cochran, Social Inclusion Manager and Self Advocacy Coordinator, and Janice and Valerie, who are affiliated with Minute Man Arc. Janice and Valerie will share their stories about moving from each of their family homes to live independently. With awareness, access, and inclusion as the key themes of JDAIM, Janice and Valerie’s journeys light an inspirational path.

We will also remember our longtime Kerem Shalom member and friend, Dr Kitty Stein, who died last March. A group of KS friends created the Kitty Stein Accessibility Fund in her memory to support the JDAIM programs. This fund honors who Kitty was, including her values about accessibility, inclusion, and education. If you feel so moved, please share your kindness by donating to the fund. If you choose to support our efforts, please either mail a check (checks made out to KS with “KSAF” in the memo line) to Kerem Shalom at PO Box 1646; Concord, MA 01742 or CLICK HERE to give online. Select “Kitty Stein Accessibility Fund” from the drop-down bar. Thank you for your generosity.

Please plan to gather with us for an Oneg following the service. We will share the joy of Shabbat and the joy of being in community.
