(In-person and Online)
In our spiritual calendar we are still counting the Omer (counting the days and marking the time between Pesach/Passover and Shavuot). On Shavuot we celebrate the moment when Moses receives the Torah on Mount Sinai. While the Israelites did not know that revelation was coming, we have the advantage of looking ahead on our calendars to see that we will be just a week and a half or so from Shavuot.
In recognition of where we are in the calendar, we will spend our time together studying texts that play with the question of what exactly was revealed on Mount Sinai, and we will ask ourselves the question of what revelation we might prepare to receive this year.
It will be a meaningful opportunity to study together and to celebrate Shabbat, and I look forward to spending it together.
