Congrats to the 2025 Geisinger Award Recipients!

At the Shabbat of Recognition service on May 9, we were thrilled to award Geisinger scholarships to four outstanding candidates—three students in our Kerem Shalom community and one Concord-Carlisle High School student. Recipients included Robert “Grady” Flinn (CCHS awardee) and KS members Lily Fraser, Melody Sieger, and Ari Leigh. We congratulate them all!

This scholarship was established more than two decades ago to honor the memory of Ann Geisinger, a beloved member of Kerem Shalom. Ann was an active volunteer here at Kerem Shalom, as well as at her son’s school, Concord-Carlisle High School. This scholarship honors the memory of Ann’s volunteerism with awards to high school seniors whose community service experiences reflect the Jewish tradition of good works and repairing the world (or in Hebrew, Tzedakah and Tikkun Olam). Scholarships have been awarded each year to high school seniors who plan to attend institutions of higher learning. This is both an exciting and bittersweet moment for the Geisinger Memorial Fund, as the scholarship opportunity is ending with this year’s group of awardees.
