In this hands-on cooking class, taught by Hila Krikov, Hebrew School Reimagined teacher and owner of Sweet Tahini, we will go back in time to explore the food that the Israelites ate the night of their departure from Egypt and during the 40 years they spent wandering in the desert. We will take clues from biblical stories and use ingredients that are native to the historical region (such as eggplant, za’atar spice, and dates) to create several dishes for Passover. The menu will include flavorful matzah bread, sweet and savory dips, lentil salad, and a matzah brei dessert.
