Holiday Preschool & Kindergarten

Preschool: ages 3–5, Sundays 9:45–10:45 am
Kindergarten: ages 5–6, Sundays 11:15 am–12:15 pm · 9 sessions a year, September–May

Holiday Preschool and Kindergarten (HPS/K) is a monthly Sunday morning gathering for our youngest learners. Preschool and Kindergarten meet separately, so each group gets activities pitched to their age. Each session is built around the Jewish calendar, and kids make art, sing songs, hear stories, and share a snack tied to that month’s holiday or theme. It’s led by our longtime teacher, Abbe Smerling.

We want our youngest learners to feel that Jewish celebration is joyful, and that they belong here.

While the kids are in class, parents and siblings are invited to hang out in our lobby with coffee and snacks.

You don’t need to be a Kerem Shalom member to join HPS/K. Members register through the KS Member Portal, and non-members can call the main office at 978-369-1223 to register.

Registration fee: $300 members / $375 non-members

Tot Shabbat

Once a month, families with kiddos from newborns through early elementary school gather for Tot Shabbat, with songs, stories, movement, and prayer. These usually take place on Friday evenings at 5:45pm, and a few times on Shabbat morning (see our calendar for specific dates and times). Friday Tot Shabbats are followed by a community dinner. All are welcome: interfaith families, non-members, and grown-ups who are young at heart!
