Marcella Pixley, author and KS member, will discuss the importance of fiction that portrays courageous narratives surrounding families in crisis and the inspiration behind her novel, Trowbridge Road. It was a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection, a finalist for the Massachusetts Book Award, the Golden Dome Award, and one of ten YA titles longlisted for a National Book Award in 2020.

Marcella will also read sneak previews from her forthcoming novel-in-verse, Neshama, a Jewish ghost story about intergenerational trauma, bravery, and forgiveness.

Complementary signed copies of Trowbridge Road will be handed out to the first five attendees.
