Rabbi Laura Geller will share her insights into reimagining aging and how Judaism and community can help all of us, younger and older, as we face the challenges and rewards of getting older. Rabbi Geller was named by Newsweek as one of the 50 most influential rabbis in America, and by PBS Next Avenue as one of 2017’s 50 top Influencers in Aging. Her wide acclaim in the Jewish community and beyond speaks to her extraordinary career of innovation and accomplishment.
Her book Getting Good at Getting Older, co-authored with her late husband Richard Siegel, provides a toolkit of resources and skills for navigating the years between maturity and old age. Topics addressed include embracing learning and ritual, establishing and deepening relationships with family and community, preparing for change, finding purpose, and giving back.
