Our educators, teachers of Torah (all things Jewish), have nourished our minds and kept our Jewish souls alive—they have sustained us all during this most unusual time. They pivoted immediately from in-person to online gatherings. They tackled the technology–often coaching others—and continue to innovate new teaching techniques to engage learners of all ages, across the lifespan.
The Gala will feature Dr. Susannahh Heshcel, Eli M. Black Distinguished Professor of Jewish Studies at Dartmouth College. Her scholarship focuses on Jewish and Protestant thought during the 19th and 20th centuries, including the history of biblical scholarship, Jewish scholarship on Islam, and the history of anti-Semitism.
