After more than a year apart, we’re making plans to meet safely in person, and we can’t wait to share KS Hebrew School Reimagined!
Our dynamic, newly redesigned curriculum for grades 1-6 focuses on active, experiential learning with an emphasis on individualized learning for all students.
Hebrew Through Movement – A joyful, kinesthetic, playful method of sound-to-print learning, based on an established methodology for language learning, for students in grades 1-4.
Interest-Based Electives – Students will select from a wide range of interest-based activities each semester. Possible electives may include Drama, Visual Arts, STEM, Music and Drumming, Jewish Debates, and more. Electives will provide deep Jewish learning through participatory and social experiences.
One-On-One Hebrew Lessons – Individualized Hebrew practice for students in grades 5-6, via Zoom, once a week for 20 minutes (from home).
Hebrew School Reimagined for grades 1-6 will take place on Monday afternoons. Kindergarten will now meet monthly on Sundays, on the same schedule as Holiday Preschool, and 7th grade will continue to meet on Monday evenings.
